EDI clients AAEM and WAO winners in prestigious international marketing and
communications awards competition

MILWAUKEE ― The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and the World Allergy
Organization (WAO), both EDI client organizations, received awards in the 2012 MarCom
competition sponsored by the International Association of Marketing and Communications
(AMCP). The global competition honoring the best in print, web, and broadcast communications
and marketing drew about 6,000 entries. The entries were judged by independent marketing
and communications professionals.

The AAEM received a gold award in the association website category for the design of its
website. The AAEM's bimonthly newsletter, Common Sense, received an honorable mention in
the print newsletter design category. About 18 percent of the MarCom Award entries were
honored with gold awards and 10 percent with honorable mentions.

In addition to the recognition that AAEM received, the AAEM’s Resident and Student Section
earned a gold award in the brochure/recruitment category for the design of its brochure “With
You All the Way.”

The World Allergy Organization received a gold award for the WAO International Scientific
Conference (WISC 2012) website in the category of specialty website/microsite and an
honorable mention in the category of electronic newsletters for its publication, WAO News and
Notes
.

“We are pleased that our clients’ websites and newsletters have been recognized for their
excellence. This recognition is due to the hard work of our Creative Services and Web Services
teams, as well as the support of our clients’ leadership teams,” said Kay Whalen, CAE, president
of EDI and a consulting partner to both organizations.
