Mission:
- To bring to clinicians the latest developments and practical advice
for the diagnosis and treatment of all movement disorders and related
neurological matters.
- To offer an international forum for sharing new developments in
basic and clinical research in movement disorders.
- To publish the pre-eminent clinical and research journal devoted to
movement disorders, using both print and video formats.
- To create professional liaisons with other regional and subspecialty
organizations for unifying the many disciplines represented in the
field of movement disorders.

Members: MDS was founded in 1985 and today it consists of over 2,200
members. These members are neurologists, neurosurgeons, researchers, basic
scientists, and allied health professionals who have an active interests
in but are not limited to, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease,
Dystonic disorders, Tremor, Spasticity, Huntington's Disease, Wilson's
Disease, and Tics.
