CSCR is one of the oldest and largest academic medical societies in the Midwestern United States. Distinguished academic physicians in the Midwest created it to:

• Advance medical science.
• Cultivate clinical research by the methods of the natural and behavioral sciences.
• Correlate science with the art of medical practice.
• Encourage scientific investigation by the medical practitioner.
• Disseminate this science to the members by publishing research for national and international distribution and by sponsoring scientific meetings.

Members: CSCR has 1,000 members that are comprised of distinguished academic physicians from the Midwestern United States.
